Eric Schmidt: Web 3.0 Is Viral Distribution Of Applications

You've heard it first. Eric Schmidt himself postulates that Web 3.0 will be a web of small, fast applications pieced together, gathering data from "the cloud" and distributed virally. Stores and distributers are cut out of the equation because we are the distribution network. We are also the developers, given the low barriers to entry. Rather, the development tools will be provided by Google and the like. While this isn't alone mind blowing, his concept reinforces my notion that big business, out of necessity, will make available professional content for retooling. That oughta undermine the "cult of the amateur."
